Technology in Structural Calculations

Calcs-Online are a company that isn’t prepared to stand still in a fast-moving world. That is why we have taken the strategic decision to created a new role of CTO (Chief Technology Officer) to which we welcome our Guy Marshall MA (Cantab.) MSc CMath MIMA… Welcome!! Guy will be looking at how to leverage Technology in Structural Calculations as part of his role.

Guy graduated from the University of Cambridge with a 2.1 in Mathematics, and then continued his studies at Kings College London with an MSc in Theoretical Physics, and has worked with leading lights in the business world, including Tesco and Ocado Technology. It was there that he worked as an Organisational Catalyst to improve the international software development capability.

Asked about his new role and how he feels about joining such a dynamic and enterprising organisation, Guy said:

“I’m so excited at the prospect of joining and contributing to the work of this brilliant team, and hopefully helping to build on the technological advancements that Calcs-Online have made in these last 10 years. Technology has a huge part to play in the production of structural calculations, and Calcs-Onlines work to-date has brought this front and centre. With the increasing significance of AI in our day-to-day lives, and the proliferation of technologicial skills in the general workforce and amongst consumers, it is now more important than ever to explore how these advancements may be used. We plan to leverage this for the benefit of all of our stakeholders – builders, architects, developers, and not least our own staff So let’s get cracking!”
